Want to make Lōkahi Apartments your new, affordable address? Here’s how to apply:

1. YOU – Review the income schedule and other criteria in Who Qualifies? to determine if you qualify to reside at Lōkahi Affordable Apartments.

2. YOU – Complete and submit an application. You can:

• Download and print your Lōkahi Apartments application.
• Or, request an application:

3. YOU – Complete your application and return to:

4. LŌKAHI – We will review applications and certify income in the order received. This process can take two weeks or longer, depending on how quickly we receive the verification requests back from your bank, your employer, your previous landlord, etc. Once we have approved your application and certified your income, we will place your name on a Waiting List for the appropriate size of apartment (number of bedrooms appropriate for your household’s needs).

5. LŌKAHI – As each Lōkahi Apartments building nears completion, we will notify approved applicants from the Waiting List. The first Lōkahi Apartments building is expected to be completed in August 2009 and the first residents will move in by September. One additional building is scheduled to be completed each month over the following 14-16 months.

6. YOU – You must be prepared to move into your apartment when notified of your selection. We will attempt to give you as much notice as possible. If you are unable to accept an apartment when it is available, you will be passed over and moved to the bottom of the Waiting List.

7. YOU – Get ready to move to Lōkahi Apartments, your new island address.
